spray DEAERATOR

Deaerator
FEATURES

The spray-scrubber design provides for removal of all dissolved oxygen and other non-condensibles in excess of .005 cc/liter and heats the water to near steam temperature.

Multiple configurations: vertical or horizontal vessels provide versatility in footprint size and space utilization.

ASME Code stamped vessels for 50 psig design pressures is standard with optional pressures available.

Custom engineered packaged systems are available as well.

ADVANTAGES

The Spray- scrubber design allows for a low profile system design to accommodate pump net positive suction head requirements. This design provides very good deaeration performance at the lowest cost. Guaranteed performance to .005 cc/liter at all load points.

Custom design packaged systems available.

OPERATION

Incoming undeaerated water and pumped returns enter the deaerator through spring-loaded stainless steel nozzles which directs the flow in conical sheets into the steam atmosphere of the direct contact vent condenser. This incoming water temperature is raised to within a few degrees of steam temperature and most of the air and other non-condensable gases are removed in this first stage. The partially deaerated water then flows first into a collector basin and then down thru a baffle tube where steam flows in a counter flow direction. This flow of steam scrubs most of the remaining air and non- condensables from the deaerated water in a polishing action. The liberated air and non-condensibles exit the deaerator condenser thru the continuous vent valve. The heated and deaerated water then falls to the storage compartment where it remains until it is pumped to the boiler.
